Breast Lift in Connecticut

Also known as a mastopexy, breast lift is a surgical rejuvenation procedure designed to address the effects of aging, weight fluctuations, pregnancy, and breastfeeding by lifting and enhancing the shape of the breasts. This procedure corrects breast sagging, or ptosis, by elevating the breasts to a more youthful position while also reshaping and firming the breast tissue. There are a variety of techniques that may be used in a breast lift, and Dr. Passaretti will determine which method will be best for achieving optimal results.

Your Breast Lift Procedure

During your breast lift procedure, which typically lasts about two to three hours, you will be placed under general anesthesia, or in some cases, local anesthesia with sedation, to ensure your comfort throughout the surgery. Incisions will then be made based on the degree of breast sagging and the amount of reshaping required, with common incision patterns around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, or horizontally along the crease. The underlying breast tissue will be lifted and reshaped to create a firmer, more youthful contour, and the nipples and areolas may be repositioned or resized if needed. Excess skin will be removed and the incisions will be carefully closed to minimize scarring.
