Chin Liposuction Candidacy

Eligible patients will be at, or very close to, their goal weight. Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure. Rather, it is intended to shape and contour areas where stubborn fat pockets remain.

Chin liposuction candidates should not have sagging skin in the chin or neck area. Liposuction will do little to address this issue. If you have sagging skin, you may be better suited for alternative treatment, such as a neck lift or face lift.

Chin Liposuction Procedure

Before beginning the chin liposuction procedure, Dr. Passaretti will administer local anesthesia to ensure that you are comfortable. Next, small incisions are created in the treatment area. A small tube, called a cannula, is inserted through the incisions. The cannula helps your surgeon break up fat deposits, then remove them via gentle suction.

This process is a delicate one. Dr. Passaretti is expertly trained in facial contour and anatomy. The liposuction is performed in strategic areas to accurately sculpt the chin and make it more defined. Once the desired results have been achieved, the incisions are closed, and any necessary post-operative dressings are applied.

Recovery after Chin Liposuction
